A new planner has hit the market y'all, and it is not your average planner. In fact, it is different in every facet, but still retains the purpose of what a planner is supposed to - help you plan and organize your goals in a way that is beneficial to you and your life.

Let's get started.

This planner was created by Alexis Giostra, also known as MissTrenchcoat. She is a master of productivity and sells digital planner materials - until today! She has a new physical planner on the market, which is the Charmed Life Master Planner.

So first off, I want to talk about the cover and the actual binding of this planner. Most planners you see on the market today are either disc bound, coil, ringed, or notebook style. THIS planner is bound like that of a book, saving you space in your bag while also making it elegant, sleek, and discreet in any setting. The lettering on the front and side is elegant and has a sense of high quality and professionalism to it. And don't get me started on the matte - ahhhhh. It feels so great to the touch!

Next, I want to talk about the insides of this planner and what makes it so functional. This planner is divided up into four sections - the monthly and weekly spreads, important projects, brilliant ideas, and an index section.

The monthly and weekly spreads are clean, simple, and minimalistic, helping you stay focused on your tasks without all of the clutter and 'umph' that other planners have. It is undated, meaning that you write in your own dates and months at your convenience. The monthly has three priorities for every week to help you see what you need to accomplish within that week.

The weekly plan is divided up into six columns, where Saturday and Sunday share the same column (because who wants to stay busy during the weekend?). There are three check boxes for every day to help you focus on what is important and what your priorities are for that day. There are empty lines for you to write your to-do's, appointments, reminders, and more. There is even a good chunk of blank space at the bottom of each day where you can draw, doodle, mind map, or place decorative stickers down for a little inspiration! :)

The important projects section allows you to pre-plan projects over a particular time span while detailing a description of the project, when it is due, resources you will need, tasks you will need to accomplish to complete the project, and any additional notes you may need to keep track of.

The brilliant ideas section is one of my favorite spots in this planner for several reasons - Alexis has included several brainstorming, brain dump, and organizers to help you get everything out of your head and onto paper. There are three different organizers in this section, including the brain dump + organize and act, brainstorm + plan and prep, and take note. The various ways you can use these to organize your thoughts are endless.

Last but not least, the index section is located at the back of the planner for you jot down where everything is located in your planner, very much like that of a bullet journaling system. Since all of the pages are numbered, it is easy for you to put down what each page(s) were used for in your planner to keep your ideas and planning routine as organized as possible.

There is a total of 381 pages in this planner, which is enough to keep you going throughout the entire year. Even though that amount of pages might seem rather extensive and may add weight and bulkiness during commutes, it is actually the exact opposite. There are numberless amounts of planners in the planner market that have less pages than this and are more bulky to carry around; by having this planner in a book bound system eliminates any and all struggle to tote around from one place to another. With the index system in the back, it makes it real easy to keep with those 381 pages, regardless of how much you put in!

My final thoughts: I am absolutely in love with this planner. I have been through so many planners in the past and I constantly kept trying to change it up because I was unhappy with this set up, or I didn't like the bulkiness of that set up, etc. I think I have truly achieved planner peace with this planner, and I am content with that statement. :)
